What Morello is
Morello turns a plain-English description into a native iOS app written in SwiftUI, compiled on your Mac and run in the iOS Simulator. You need macOS and Xcode installed. Building an app consumes credits.
You own what you build
Every app Morello generates for you is yours. We claim no ownership, no licence, and no revenue share over the code, the design, or anything you make with it. Ship it, sell it, open-source it, or throw it away. You do not owe us anything beyond your subscription.
You are responsible for what you build: that it complies with the App Store Review Guidelines, that you hold rights to any content you feed in, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. Generated code may resemble code produced for other users given a similar description; that is a property of how these systems work, and neither of us gains rights over the other's output because of it.
Accounts
Give us an accurate email, keep your credentials to yourself, and do not share an account. You must be 13 or older to use Morello, and 18 or older to buy a paid plan unless a parent or guardian agrees on your behalf.
Credits and billing
Credits are the unit Morello meters. One credit represents ten cents of underlying model usage. A build consumes credits based on the work it actually does, so a longer or more complex app costs more, and the model you select changes the rate.
- Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Cancel any time; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Monthly credits are granted at the start of each period and do not roll over.
- Purchased credit packs do not expire while your account is open.
- Credits have no cash value and are not redeemable for money.
- Prices may change. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a change affects your renewal.
Refunds
Credits already spent on generation are not refundable, because the underlying cost has already been incurred. If Morello charged you in error, or a build failed because of a fault on our side, email us and we will refund the credits or the money. If you are in a jurisdiction with a statutory cooling-off period, that right applies and nothing here removes it.
Fair use
Do not use Morello to build anything illegal, to generate malware, to harass or defraud people, or to produce sexual content involving minors. Do not resell access, run automated agents against the service, attempt to extract our prompts or models, or work around credit metering. We may suspend an account that does any of this, and for serious cases we will do so without notice.
Availability
Morello is a young product built by a small team. We do not promise uptime, and features may change or be removed. We will not knowingly break something you depend on without saying so.
Generated code comes as-is
Morello builds apps automatically and checks its own work, but it is not a substitute for review. Generated code may contain bugs, may not be secure, and may not be fit for your purpose. Read it before you ship it. The service and everything it produces are provided without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Liability
To the extent the law permits, Morello is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending things
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or stop offering the service entirely with reasonable notice. If we close your account without cause, we will refund any unused purchased credits.
Changes to these terms
We will email you before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Morello after that means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of your home country's mandatory law.
